More Brits become overweight
from The First Post Sunday eMail:
“The Department of Health will this week forecast that by 2010 more than 14m Britons, from toddlers to the elderly, will be dangerously overweight, thanks to junk food and a sedentary lifestyle. The ‘stark’ report will also say that there will be a huge increase in conditions such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes."
In the UK’s usual fashion, the 21st century is falling into the same pattern as the 20th, following the USA’s lead in all things….like the inability to stop cramming food and refreshments down our throats.
I wonder when someone will do a study to learn why this doesn’t happen, as a rule, on the European mainland?
