stupid cat antics

Notes from the Desk of the Sniffles.

I have a small cold.  Nothing much more than a runny nose and some sinus congestion.

I have a tissue beside me (to my left), doused with a few drops of Olbas oil, dried now since I poured it about an hour ago.

Hector the cat came upstairs just now and stood at my door almost as if he weren't sure about something. He just didn't seem his usual self, which was the only reason I noticed.  He eventually came in, walked behind me, then jumped up on the desk from my right hand side.

He took about four paces along my desk, then bolted.  He bolted so fast he knocked my keyboard back along the desk by about six inches.  He got as far as the door and stopped still on the door saddle with his ears back, his eyes blinking, shaking his head.  Then he disappeared.

Hector is scared of Olbas oil.

Here we see Hector who believes that shade and comfort must be found beneath the table.

On the other hand Monty wants toys. All the toys. For himself.

Otherwise, it’s a dog’s life, folks. Current areas of mild annoyance include the word innovate (example context “continue to innovate”), the Gregorian calendar and my continuing inability to process my own 35mm film.
